Abstract

The term post-growth covers various alternative approaches that decouple from the current economic growth paradigm and contribute a transformative literacy. As young people's involvement is essential for shaping our future, the topic post-growth offers great potential in the context of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD). In a research project at Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz University Hannover, 25 young people in seven groups participated in three online meetings. Through this, we found out that from the perspective of the young people, a stronger focus on post growth and the integration of change agents into geography lessons is of great importance.
